Denver -- This summer, the Children’s Museum of Denver will go where few have gone before. Their mission: To teach children the principles of flight and the fundamentals of rocket science. Opening June 11th and running through September 6th, 3, 2, 1…Blast Off! will be an interactive science exhibit for all curious minds. Children can explore the elements of aerodynamics, physics, technology and engineering by building, launching and testing their own rockets, planes, hovercrafts and other flying devices.

The City of Lakewood is inviting residents, businesses and community members in northeast Lakewood to give input on the possibility of creating an arts district in the nearby the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and the Lamar Street light rail station.

Organizers are seeking input on ways to improve pedestrian and bicycle connections and ideas for improving public areas to highlight the arts district concept.

DENVER -- See Denver Botanic Gardens in a different light this holiday season as it is transformed into a winter wonderland at Blossoms of Light.

This spectacular display of more than 1 million colorful lights will be draped in elegant designs throughout the Gardens, illuminating the plants, trees and hardscape features. Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) make up more than a third of this year’s display, reflecting the Gardens’ commitment to conservation and sustainability.
