On April 26, 2011, a woman was exiting a Target store in south Jeffco when she was addressed by a man who was standing by a newer black Acura with tinted windows.  The man asked her how she was doing, and she answered him.  As she was driving home, she noticed the Acura following her at a close distance.  When she came to a stop sign, the Acura rear-ended her. She got out of her vehicle, and the same male who addressed her at the Target store got out of the Acura.  She looked at her car and there was no damage, so she told the man she was going to leave and there was no need to report the accident.

When she got back to the driver’s side of her car, he pushed her out of the way, reached into her car and took her purse.  There was a struggle over her purse, but the man was able to get the purse away from her, and he left the scene in the Acura.

“They tend to offer services for home repair or yard work at low prices but then raise the fee substantially once the work is completed and use intimidation to obtain payment,” the Denver/Boulder office of the BBB said.
