Jefferson County celebrates National Trails Day

Celebrate with Jefferson County Open Space a holiday that’s as old as dirt and fresh as a newly blazed path. National Trails Day on Saturday, June 2 at North Table Mountain Park is a time to give back to the park trails that enrich life in Jefferson County. 

Jefferson County helps kids under foster care

Young people in Foster Care, as well as underprivileged and disadvantaged youth, living in the Denver Metro area and surrounding communities, are invited to attend the 2012 Community Care Ring Event.  This will be a day of fun including amateur youth boxing, graffiti walls, face painting, a Cleo Parker Robinson dance showcase, and live music featuring national and local youth singers, rappers, dancers, and entertainers.  The event will be held on June 2nd, starting at 1:00pm at Jefferson High School, 2305 Pierce Street in Edgewater.  The live music begins at 6:30pm.

Jefferson County Parents! Free preschool program now enrolling

Every child deserves an education. In today’s economy more families are struggling to make ends meet and are worried about how they will send their children to school. Jefferson County Head Start is here to help. With educational programming available for children ages 3 to 5, this no-cost program is now enrolling for the 2012 - 2013 school year.
