Comcast to announce Internet initiative aimed at Colo. low-income families
Comcast is announcing a program aimed at providing low-income families in Colorado with Internet access and laptops at reduced prices.
Gov. John Hickenlooper and Denver Mayor Michael Hancock will be at Denver's South High School Wednesday morning to talk about the program. It would allow families with children who qualify for free school lunch to have Internet at $10 per month and laptops for $150.
The program called Internet Essentials will also provide free digital literacy classes to the families.
