Dogs can take a dip in the pool at the Bark-N-Splash Bash

The City of Lakewood will hold the Bark-N-Splash Bash on Aug 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Glennon Heights Pool at 10600 W. Virginia Avenue.

The event gives dogs a chance to enjoy a day at the pool on the last day the pool is open for the season.

Foothills Animal Center opens as Table Mountain closes doors

Table Mountain Animal Center, one of metro Denver's largest animal shelters, will be moving to a brand new location with an official new name of Foothills Animal Shelter.

The current Table Mountain Animal Center will be permanently closed starting August 9, 2010.

One of the most basic ways to protect your pet is to license them. According to animal control officers, a license is a ticket home if she gets lost.
