New Members of the Jeffco Library Board of Trustees | Politics
Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) announced that John Bodnar and Julia Hill-Nichols have been appointed to the Library Board of Trustees, effective immediately.
The Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) appointed the new trustees at its regularly scheduled meeting on May 29, 2012. They were selected from a list of five applicants and will serve a three-year term through March 31, 2015.
“We were truly impressed with the quality of applicants for the Library Board,” said Donald Rosier, BCC chair. “While it was tough to choose from such an impressive list, we believe Mr. Bodnar and Ms. Hill-Nichols bring important skills and experiences, represent diverse areas of the county, and will help JCPL to maintain and enhance high-quality library services for the people of Jefferson County.”
Mr. Bodnar is the broker/owner of Noviscon Realty, LLC in Arvada and brings more than 20 years of real estate and other business experience to the Board. An Arvada resident for more than 19 years, Bodnar is also a member of the North Metro Denver Realtor Association, a board member of the Arvada Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Jefferson County Business Lobby.
Ms. Hill-Nichols is the owner/principal of Leaders Cove LLC, a management and human resource consulting firm, and brings 35 years of operations management and human resource experience to the Board. A Jefferson County resident for more than 23 years, Hill-Nichols is a member of a number of local and national associations, including the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce, and the Association for Corporate Growth, among others. She also serves on the Belleview Farms Homeowner’s Association Board of Directors and chairs the Outreach Committee of Colorado Companies to Watch.
Bodnar and Hill-Nichols are replacing Lynne Heinekamp (also from Arvada) who resigned from the Board in January 2012 and T.J Carney, long-time Golden resident, whose second consecutive term as a Library trustee expired March 31, 2012.
